It was one of those weeks… It just went west… After 10 days in Melbourne for the Cup carnival; I was looking forward to a quieter week just catching up on a few things and planning the last couple of events for the year… Not to be
Monday started off quiet; as I had my Band appointments; but by the time I got back to the office, it started and didn’t stop until I left Epping yesterday afternoon. V8’s, TiVo, Sydney Hobart, Tennis; as well as the move out of Epping; not forgetting the normal day to day office chores; and everything needed my undivided attention. I didn’t know where to start; and most of the time when I started something; there’s been an interruption, or I'd reach a roadblock… But a few others were saying the same thing… By the time I got home each night my brain had been going all day that as soon as I’d stopped to vege out in front of the TV, I’d fall asleep.
This morning though was another story, I was awake at 7, and by 7.30 I was out the door on my morning walk (photo on the left was taken this morning while I was walking)… and for some reason I had an extra spring in my step… maybe it was a guilty feeling that I indulged yesterday with Takeaway Chinese for lunch and then Pizza for dinner, or just that it was the weekend. Whatever it was it was a great feeling to get the blood flowing like that first thing in the morning…
After I got home from the walk; a read the paper while I ate breakfast, before heading out to pickup a work car that was in for service. After I picked up the car I headed to the shops for my weekly grocery shop; and boy it was busy… I haven’t done a Saturday shop for a while and add to that it was McHappy day. The car park was overflowing.
This afternoon is just a quiet one catching up with some home stuff that never got done during the week, before heading south tomorrow to visit my brother’s family who I haven’t seen since September when I helped them more into their new house…
Then Monday it’s back to the grindstone – hopefully next week will be a little easier than last; and some progress will be made.
Until next time
